Instructions

Step 1
Cut the stalk off of the chard, as well as the red vein that runs up the center of the chard. Cut the chard into a few inch pieces (it will shrink as it bakes). Pour about one tablespoon of your choice of oil over the chard in a bowl and mix to coat all the chard. Be careful to add just enough oil to cover the leaves, but not too much or else it won't turn into a crunchy "chip." Lay the chard chips out over a lined baking sheet in a single layer.
Step 2
Add red pepper flakes and salt to your liking (note: go easy on the salt! Chard has a naturally salty flavor, so it's very easy to over-salt).
Step 3
Bake in the oven at 325°F for 10 minutes, then rotate the cookie sheet 180 degrees and continue cooking for 10 minutes.
Step 4
When they are finished they literally will crunch and then melt in your mouth. Enjoy!
