Shred or slice the carrot into small bite sized pieces. Chop the broccoli into bite sized chunks. Dice the onion and garlic.

Step 2
Melt 5 tablespoons of butter in a pot. Add onion and garlic. Add flour to make a roux for four minutes.

Add 2 cups of half n half and 2 cups of chicken broth. Once simmered, add seasoning and vegetables. Simmer for an additional 20 minutes.
