Instructions
Step 1
In a saucepan, whisk together flour & milk over med.-high heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick (like pudding). Remove from heat and cool completely.
Step 2
Combine butter & shortening in mixing bowl. UsIng an electric mixer, beat on med.-high speed speed for 4 min. (until it is light and fluffy.). Add sugar; continue to beat 4 more min.
Step 3
Add the cooled milk mixture & vanilla; beat 4 min. Longer, scraping down sides as needed.
Step 4
Spread frosting on cooled cake or cupcakes. Garnish with chocolate chips.
