Ingredients

1 poundground chuck
1yellow onion
medium, diced
3 stripssmoked bacon
chopped
2slices american cheese
½ cupcheddar cheese shredded
2 Tbspdill pickles
diced
2 Tbspketchup
sea salt
to taste
black pepper
to taste
Granulated Garlic
to taste
2 Tbspgreen onion
minced
1 TbspItalian parsley
chopped
4 clovesgarlic
minced, toasted
½ cupmayonnaise
¼ cupsour cream
3 Tbspbuttermilk
1 packageegg roll wrappers
Canola Oil
for frying, sautéing
Instructions
Step 1
In a cold pan, add chopped bacon and cook until browned and crispy. Drain and set aside
Step 2
Add canola oil, or some of the bacon fat to another sauté pan over medium heat and cook onions until caramelized. Season with sea salt and black pepper. Set aside
Step 3
Brown beef in a skillet over medium-hi heat. Season with sea salt, black pepper and granulated garlic. Be sure to break it up while it cooks, so you won’t have big chunks of meat in your final product. You can drain the fat if you want.
Step 4
In a medium bowl, add the beef, bacon, onions, pickles, two cheeses and ketchup. Give it a good mix so everything combines, then give it a taste for seasoning.
Step 5
Add about 3-4 Tbsp of the mixture to each egg roll wrapper and roll tight like a cigar.. or burrito 😬
Step 6
Preheat your frying oil to 350 degrees and fry your egg rolls until golden brown.
Step 7
For the dipping sauce.. mix together the mayo, sour cream, buttermilk, green onion, parsley and toasted garlic. (To toast the garlic) add it to a little oil over med-low heat and sauté until lightly golden and crisp. Be careful not to burn it🤞🏾Season the sauce with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper.
Step 8
Cut the egg rolls in half at an angle.. if you’re fancy. Place on a platter with the sauce for the gang to enjoy!
