Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl add all dry ingredients: flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ginger powder, cinnamon & nutmeg
Mix & Set aside
Step 2
In a separate large bowl add all wet ingredients: molasses, egg & butter. Mix well.
Step 3
Combine all ingredients by adding the dry ingredients into your wet ingredients bowl. Mix well.
Step 4
Once mixed make a total of 12 equal sized balls
Step 5
Roll each cookie (ball) into a bowl of coarse sugar, take out & then push flat making sure to create a medium thick sized circular cookie. Do all 12.
Step 6
Cut the Apple into thin slices and place one slice on top of each cookie; pushing into the cookie to make sure the cookie is showing underneath the Apple slice.
Step 7
Add a sprinkle of coarse sugar on top of each cookie
Step 8
Cook cookies for 12 minutes in 365°F
Step 9
Make sure to allow cookies to rest before plating or else the cookies will break apart
