Instructions
Step 1
Cream together the butter, shortening, both sugars, vanilla, almond extract and eggs.
Step 2
Mix together in a separate bowl the baking soda, cream of tartar and flour.

Step 3
Add the dry mix to the wet mix in small batches till fully combined.
Step 4
Roll the dough into 1" balls, roll the balls in the sugar, set the balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 5
Take a flat bottom glass, lightly grease the bottom with shortening, dip in the sugar & sugar sprinkles mixed together, press down on the ball to flatten.

Step 6
Bake at 350°F for 8min cool on the pan then remove to the cookie rack.
