This is a Nigerian fried doughnuts that are usually made during special occasions and parties. These mini doughnuts garnished with icing sugar and lemon zest.

Instructions

Step 1
In a bowl add flour, sugar, salt, water, active yeast and nutmeg. Mix together until well combined or they are no lumps left.
Step 2
Cover with a lid and place in a warm place(place it in the oven or microwave) for 30 mins to 1 hr or until the dough has risen.
Step 3
In a frying pan or wok with vegetable oil on medium high heat, scoop the dough in your hand or a spoon and carefully place into the hot oil. Fry on both sides until golden brown and place in a bowl with a paper towel. Repeat with the rest of dough.
Step 4
Plate in a bowl and garnish with lemon zest and mint. Enjoy !
