Instructions

For the Cinnamon Filling

Step 1
In a small bowl, add brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and melted butter and whisk to combine.

Set aside.

For the Biscuits

Step 3
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Step 4
In a separate bowl , pour Miss Lena’s biscuit mix to the bowl. Add cinnamon and powdered sugar and whisk until combined.
Step 5
Grate one stick of cold butter into the flour mixture.
Step 6
Mix well until the butter is incorporated. Make a well in the center of the bowl and add the buttermilk.
Step 7
Using a fork fold the ingredients together until just combined.
Step 8
Knead the dough 2-3 times on a lightly floured surface. Fold the dough three times and then roll it out again.
Step 9
Use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out the biscuits. Repeat the process until you have cut out all the biscuits.
Step 10
Place biscuits onto a baking sheet.
Step 11
Using a tablespoon, make a dent in the center of the biscuits. Add about 1 tablespoon of cinnamon filling to the hole. Brush the biscuits with buttermilk.
Step 12
Bake for about 12-14 minutes, or until lightly brown on the edges.
Step 13
Remove biscuits from oven, then top with vanilla glaze.

For the Glaze

Step 14
Mix the powdered sugar and milk together until combined.
