If you have an outdoor space that gets at least a few hours of sun a day, a solar oven is a great energy saving tool. We use ours ALOT ! Absolutely not a gadget. Most slow cooker, braises and even some baked goods recipes can be adapted to a solar oven. Meat will never be as tender as after a few hours in the solar oven.
