Throughout the Covid -19 pandemic accessing food has been a struggle for many people across the city and country, resulting in food parcels being delivered to thousands of citizens. We understand the produce in the food parcels may not be what your used to buying for yourself, so this category aims to help you make the most of the food you receive and create tasty healthy meals. The Active Wellbeing Society are providing a limited number of emergency food parcels on a first come first served basis. If you phone after the daily limit has been reached, they will try to signpost you to another organisation nearby who can help. They can help address your crises and provide support to maximise your income, help you navigate the benefits system, and identify any additional grants you could be entitled to. If needed, they’ll issue you with a voucher so you can get an emergency food parcel from your local food bank.
