How can I spice up a Thanksgiving dinner?

With a English roast dinner we have Yorkshire puddings. Gravy is a must. 😁 Do you guys have pigs in blankets or chestnut stuff?

Well im wanting to try smoking a turkey with pineapple and a habenero. Maybe brine it 1st. I live in phx and going for sw style and I like pineapple salsa

I did a turducken last year and was such a hit, I'm doing it again this year. It is a TON of work though...food with love 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh I have lots of thoughts on this - prepare for an onslaught of recipe ideas!! Here’s one I’m doing this year for sweet potatoes - I’ve made it before to rave reviews although not for thanksgiving. Steaming the sweet potatoes gives them a smooth texture and tahini is a fun mix!

I love this one for thanksgiving - the ginger gives it a different kind of kick and kale and cabbage are a bit different from the usual spinach! Closer to traditional thanksgiving sides

This might be too far but if you want an Asian twist on thanksgiving, this sticky rice stuffing is also great!

We love mashed Ruttabegas,succatash,mashed yukon golds, Green been casserole,Sweet yam casserole, Corn pudding and Dressing and Oyster stuffing. Big Turkey of course and a gallon of home made gravy. Cranberry sauce, home made apple butter, clover rolls pumpkin bread and Apple Crumb, Pumpkin, Pecan pie bars and Mini Chesecakes with spice cookie on bottom... Going easy on appetizers I'll make a Cheese ball,Shrimp ring and Roasted Parm Asparagus Spears and Spiniach Dip with Baked toasts and Veggie tray...

This is a smaller twist on mashed potatoes. Celery root gives it more of a fresh taste (hint of that celery flavor!) it’s much more creamy, so if you prefer fluffy potatoes not so great
