my girlfriend is coming...

so, my gf of 1½years is finally moving over to where I am. We're sharing a dorm at uni and I want to make her dinner as a congratulations for getting her life together again. thing is, I kinda suck at this stuff. She likes pastas and stuff like that but I always make that. I want this to be special and new for both of us.Any ideas?

I adore this dish from Yotam Ottolenghi’s Jerusalem cookbook - it’s impressive but not hard! The hardest part may be making sure you have some of the spices (whole cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks… if you don’t know where to get labneh, green yogurt works great!) It does require a wide pan to cook in though. Any diet or equipment limitations?

Realized my other post isn’t 30 min or less (it’s an hour 😬) but as a different type of noodle dish you could try Japanese udon noodles! (You can also sub regular noodles if you can’t find them) might not be as beautiful but it’s a new way to eat noodles!

She's diabetic, and has high blood pressure sometimes BUT I know how to lessen the amount of sodium AND sugar in meals thanks to my dad (he's diabetic too). thanks for asking, and the replies too guys! I'm taking notes and indirectly asking when she's going to be available for a dinner
