I added some mushrooms and celery as well. Definitely use the chicken thighs and not breast meat - I don't think that would work as well. It's a simple dish and my husband ate it without complaint, so I call it a win!

Makes leftovers

My new favorite chicken and rice recipe. I'm glad it tastes different from the beef plov, for variety reasons. I was worried that it might be a bit bland, but I don't think it was. Very moist, chicken thighs superior. I will be making this again.

Holy cow. So so good. Added 1/2 cup mushrooms, carrots, and celery. Much better with white rice. Added some high quality TJ cheese at the end.
