Ingredients
8 servings
1 pounddry elbow pasta
1 tablespoonolive oil
3shallots
diced
3cloves of garlic
minced
1 poundground beef
grass - fed
30 oztomato sauce
canned
2 tablespoonstomato paste
1 teaspoonsalt
¼ teaspoonblack pepper
¼ teaspoongarlic powder
¼ teaspoonpaprika
¼ teaspoonoregano
parmesan cheese
shredded, or grated, for topping, optional
fresh parsley
for topping, optional
Instructions
Step 1
Cook pasta as directed in salted water until al dente
Step 2
Heat a large pan/skillet to medium heat and add olive oil, shallot & garlic. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until translucent
Step 3
Add ground beef to pan. Break up and cook until fully browned
Step 4
Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste and all spices. Turn heat to low and let simmer for 15 minutes
Step 5
Add drained pasta to the pan and combine well
Step 6
Serve immediately topped with parmesan cheese and/or fresh parsley
