This sauce is not as heavy as hollandaise, but it tastes just as delicious.
When Meyer lemons are in season, this dish is a huge hit!

Instructions
Step 1
Combine first three ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat until butter melts; keep warm
Step 2
Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus. Pour oil on your hands, then lightly toss the asparagus as you place it on a broiler pan. You just want to give it enough oil that it won’t stick to the pan, but not so much that it will weight it down.
Step 3
Season asparagus with salt and pepper, then put under broiler 4-5 min, or until desired consistency. I like my asparagus al dente but others like it softer.
Step 4
Immediately remove asparagus and arrange on a serving platter. Pour sauce over the asparagus and optional toasted almonds. Serve hot.
