Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven for 400°

Grate frozen butter
Step 3
Whisk flour, sugar, salt, baking powder together & add grated butter to mixture and combine with pastry cutter or 2 forks until mixture is 🫛 pea size

Whisk heavy cream, egg and vanilla together. Drizzle into flour mixture and mix

Pour onto counter and work into ball shape. You'll have sticky dough. Press into a disk shape or use a round baking pan.

Cut into 8 wedges, brush with 1/4 cup heavy cream and chill for 15 minutes.

Bake for 18-26 minutes and let cool. Brush with glaze and enjoy!

The Glaze

Step 8
Mix milk and vanilla extract in a small bowl.

Add powered sugar to the milk and mix well until the icing does not have any clumps of sugar in it.

Adjust the consistency as needed. If it's a bit too liquid add a little more powdered sugar (1 tbsp). If it's too thick and hard to spread, add a little bit more milk (1 tsp-1 tbsp).

Once you're happy, add to scones, let dry and enjoy!
