Instructions
Step 1
Sautee shallots in olive oil until somewhat translucent
Step 2
Add garlic and sautee until fragrant
Step 3
Once garlic is fragrant, add Tomato paste and stir a minute or until a little fond develops
Step 4
Deglaze with Red wine
Step 5
Add Canned crushed tomatoes
Step 6
Add fresh basil
Step 7
A little sugar, salt, pepper (if desired, to taste)
Step 8
Simmer for as long as you can to develop flavors.
