Cathy's Cheese Scones

Make sure you have plenty of cheese on hand before you start these beauties. They can be a meal on their own. Introduced to the Stallards by our good friend Cathy Lockyer.

Instructions
Step 1
Place the flour, salt and baking powder in a large bowl

Rub in the butter. I like to grate the butter and then mix it about - less messy.
Step 3
Add 1 1/2 cups of cheese - mix it in
Step 4
Pour in the milk (hold a bit back if it is looking a little sloppy.
Step 5
Before you tip out the scone mixture. Make about 12 piles of cheese on your baking tray. Spoon out the mixture and put on to a pile of cheese
Step 6
With any remaining cheese sprinkle over the top of the scones.
Step 7
Cook in the oven for 10 - 15 mins.

This is much sloppier than most scone mixtures. You can add savoury flavours to the mixture if you like.
