Ingredients for the General Use Rub:
Step 1
For each rub, combine all the listed ingredients in a bowl, mixing until well blended. Make sure there are no clumps, especially with the brown sugar in the pork rub. (Ingredients: all spices; Devices/Utensils: mixing bowl, spoon)
Step 2
Once blended, store each rub in an airtight container until ready for use. They can be stored for up to 3 months. (Devices/Utensils: airtight containers)
Step 3
To use, lightly oil your meat of choice, then generously apply the rub. Massage the spices into the meat and let it sit for at least 30 minutes before grilling, smoking or roasting. For a more intense flavour, let it marinate overnight. (Devices/Utensils: hands, grill/smoker/oven)
