Easy Mac and cheese

This is a super easy stove top mac and cheese. You can also use different cheeses, veggies, bacon bits or add more hot sauce (the hot sauce does not make this spicy. Just adds flavor)

Instructions

Step 1
Add water to a large pot and boil. Cook the macaroni until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the cooking water before draining, then return the macaroni to the pot. Add the butter and stir until melted.
Step 2
Whisk together the cornstarch, Dijon, hot sauce and 1 teaspoon salt in a medium bowl, then gradually whisk in the evaporated milk. Add to the pot with the macaroni, along with the pasta cooking water, and cook over medium-high heat until bubbling. Take off the heat and add the cheese, stirring until melted.
Step 3
You can serve this with any topping you like or at this point you can place in a baking dish and add some bread crumbs and fresh grated Parmesan cheese and broil for 5 mins, this way it gets nice and crispy at the top to add more texture! Enjoy!
