Instructions

Step 1
1. Lightly oil a 1kg loaf tin and set aside.
Step 2
In a large bowl, add the flour, salt and caster sugar and mix until combined.
Step 3
Add the yeast and mix again.
Step 4
Gradually stir in 300ml warm water until the dough becomes tacky rather than sticky.
Step 5
On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for 10 mins.
Step 6
Place the dough into a lightly oiled bowl and cover with cling film. Leave this away from sunlight for 2 hours.
Step 7
Once 3 hours has passed, knead the dough again for 2 mins. Price for another hour.
Step 8
Place the dough into the bread tin and place in the oven. (Gas 7: 220*c, fan 200*c)
Step 9
Cook for 20 mins.
Step 10
Once 20 mins has passed, turn the oven down to gas 6: 200*c, fan 180*c and bake for another 15 mins.
Step 11
If the bottom of the bread isn’t completely dry after this, bake for another 5 mins on the same heat setting.
Step 12
Allow to cool. Enjoy!
