Instructions

Step 1
Beat together oil, egg, water, and salt; add flour while beating, until a firm dough which pullas away from bowl is formed.
Step 2
Knead several times until smooth and elastic. Cover; let stand 30 minutes.
Step 3
Cut with sharp knife into two equal parts. roll out each piece on floured cloth to a 12x18 inch rectangle. Brush with melted margarine. Sprinkle evenly with bread crumbs.
Step 4
Spread four cups of the apples on each portion, lengthwise down the center of the dough.
Step 5
Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon rum, 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, 2 tablespoon almonds and 2 tablespoons raisins.
Step 6
Fold dough over apples on one side, then the other. Slide rolls onto greased baking sheet. Brush with egg wash.
