Ingredients

0 servings

4 x 85 grampeach flavoured Jello
packages, flavoured gelatin
1 x 796mlcan sliced peaches in water
or syrup
3 cups boiling water
3 cupswater
boiling
3 cups cold water
3 cupswater
cold

Instructions

Step 1
Drain the sliced peaches.
Step 2
If the sliced peaches were preserved in water, you can reserve the water and use it as part of the "cold water" . If the sliced peaches were preserved in syrup it is better to not to use the syrup as it tends to prevent the Jello from setting firmly.
Step 3
Add the gelatin/Jello crystals to the baking dish or bowl.
Step 4
Add the 3 cups of boiling water to the crystals in the bowl, stirring well to ensure all the crystals are completely dissolved.
Step 5
Add the 3 cups of cold water to the gelatin mixture and stir well.
Step 6
Transfer the gelatin mixture to the refrigerator to allow it to become semi-firm - NOT fully set. This will take about 1 1/2 - 2 hours, but does vary, so be sure to check the Jello from time to time!
Step 7
Test the Jello by gently dipping a metal spoon into the gelatin - you will notice when the Jello has begun to thicken by how easily it slides off the spoon.
Step 8
When the Jello has begun to thicken, remove it from the refrigerator and gently fold in the drained, sliced peaches.
Step 9
Return the dish to the refrigerator and allow the Peaches and Jello Salad or Dessert to set completely for a few more hours or over-night.
