Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450°
Step 2
Cut potatoes into thin circular slices. Cut enough to cover the bottom of a cake pan and to add a second layer in the center of the casserole
Step 3
Season potatoes to taste with garlic, basil, season salt, and pepper
Step 4
Cook potatoes in a 450° oven until golden brown
Step 5
Begin boiling water for mac & cheese
Step 6
Add ground beef to a pan and season to taste with italian seasoning, garlic powder, oregano, basil, season salt, and pepper
Step 7
Cook bacon in a separate pan until somewhat crispy
Step 8
Add noodles to boiling water and finish cooking mac & cheese
Step 9
Mix mac & cheese and ground beef
Step 10
Crumble bacon into mac & cheese mixture
Step 11
Season mac & cheese with additional italian seasoning, oregano, basil, garlic powder, season salt, and pepper, if desired
Step 12
Preheat oven to 350°
Step 13
Layer the bottom of a cake pan with the potato slices
Step 14
Add half of the mac & cheese mixture on top of the potatoes
Step 15
Add a second layer of potatoes to the pan
Step 16
Add the other half of the mac & cheese mixture to the pan
Step 17
Cook casserole at 350° for 35 minutes
