Pasteles de queso

Step 1

make like a little volcano with the all purpose flour and add the sugar and the salt on the borders

add the water and the manteca in the middle of the volcano, be sure they're super hot

mix it carefully because it is super hot and you can make a big mess

Mix it until have a dough and start making little balls

use a rolling pin to make it thin and add cheese just in one side

Fold it and use a fork to close the pastel

Cook it in a deep fry and use a spatula to splash the pastel with oil to make it bigger and gold

After fried let them drain the oil over paper towels then add sugar powder on top of the pasteles
