Step 1
Preheat oven to 350⁰F
Step 2
Do not use an electric mixer. In a large bowl, combine sugar, oil, eggs, and pumpkin. Mix well.

Mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl: salt, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
Step 4
Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients slowly. Alternate with the 2/3 cups of cold water.
Step 5
Grease and flour 2-3 bread loaf pans
Step 6
Divide the batter evenly between the 2-3 bread loaf pans, filling only 3/4 of the way. Optional: Top with sliced almonds.
Step 7
Bake for 1 hour.
