Instructions
Step 1
Remove bone and fat from arm roast. Then cut it into large chunks (about 2" cubes).
Step 2
Put into electric pressure cooker and sprinkle salt on top of meat.
Step 3
Slice onion and put that on top and around meat.
Step 4
Pour in all other ingredients in EXCEPT cornstarch and cooked rice into the pressure cooker and close lid.
Step 5
Seal steam valve and set to high pressure for 45 minutes. (Cook rice while beef is cooking)
Step 6
Allow steam to naturally release for 15 minutes, then release rest.
Step 7
Lift lid and remove meat and onions into a large bowl.
Step 8
In a small bowl add just 1/2 c of your hot broth from pressure cooker leaving the rest of the broth in the cooker.
Step 9
Set pressure cooker to saute.
Step 10
Meanwhile, add cornstarch to the 1/2 cup of broth and whisk together until smooth.
Step 11
When liquid is bubbling pour your cornstarch mixture in. Stir continuously for about 3 minutes allowing this sauce to thicken.
Step 12
Shred meat with forks in the large bowl.
Step 13
Pour thickened broth from pressure cooker on top of meat so it is coated well.
Step 14
Serve over cooked rice
