Ingredients
12 servings
For the donuts
2 cupsall purpose flour
⅔ cupsgranulated sugar
1 tspvanilla
1 tspcinnamon
1 tspbaking powder
1 tspbaking soda
1egg
whisked
2 Tbspheavy cream
1 cupapple cider
For the topping
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F
Step 2
In a bowl mix together the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon
Step 3
In the bowl of a stand mixer add the sugar, egg, and apple cider. Mix together. Slowly add in the dry ingredients and mix until incorporated, scraping the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed.
Step 4
Spray a donut pan with nonstick spray.
Step 5
Add the batter to a piping bag or Ziploc bag and cut off the corner. Pipe the batter into 12 donuts.
Step 6
Bake 12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the donuts. Let cool in the pan.
Step 7
Meanwhile, melt the butter. In a small bowl mix together the topping ingredients.
Step 8
Remove the donuts to a wire cooling rack. Brush each donut with melted butter and dip into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Enjoy immediately.
