Step 1
Preheat oven to 425F
Step 2
Sift floor, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Step 3
Cut butter into pats and add to flour mixture.
Step 4
Use a pastry cutter until mixture resembles rough crumbs.
Step 5
Add milk and stir with fork until it forms a rough ball.
Step 6
Turn dough onto well-flour surface.
Step 7
Knead 15-20 times.
Step 8
Pat down into rectangle.
Step 9
Fold it over and pat down again.
Step 10
Pat or roll dough to 1/2"-1" thick.
Step 11
Cut w/ biscuit cutter. (do not twist when cutting)
Step 12
Bake 10-15 minutes
