Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl combine water, sugar, salt and yeast. Stir until salt and sugar fully dissolve and yeast is evenly distributed.






Step 2
Add flour and stir until combined to a dough. Use the spoon to scrape down the sides of the bowl and fold over the dough.


Step 3
Oil a deep 8x12 baking pan and transfer the dough into the pan. Oil the top of the dough, ensure all sides are evenly coated and the dough is flattened to fill the pan.


Step 4
Cover the baking pan with plastic wrap and leave the dough to rise for 2-3 hours, until the dough expands to around 4-5cm thick.

Step 5
Preheat the oven to 425F.

Step 6
Add dimples to the top of the dough using your fingers and add more oil. Sprinkle the rosemary, thyme and flaky salt evenly on the surface.




Step 7
Bake the dough for 25 minutes. Until the top surface is golden brown.

Step 8
Move to a cooling rack and leave to cool for 30 minutes.
Step 9
Cut into 12 buns and enjoy! Goes well with garlic butter or other dips.
