Step 1
1. Poke the squash a few times with a fork, then microwave on high for 3 to 4 minutes to soften. Don't microwave longer than 5 minutes, or the steam buildup may cause it to burst.

2. Carefully halve the squash lengthwise. Use a spoon to scrape out the seeds. Place the halves, cut side down, in a microwave-safe baking dish. Pour in 1/2 inch of water

3. Microwave on high until you can easily pierce the squash with a fork, 8 to 12 minutes.

4. Meanwhile, warm the oil, Walnuts, and garlic in a small saucepan over low heat.
Step 5
5. When the squash is done and cool enough to handle, use a fork to loosen the spaghetti-like strands of flesh. Pile them into four bowls, and top each with a quarter of the garlic-infused oil, Walnuts, and cheese.
