Instructions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix 1/2 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, butter, and egg. Stir in flour, baking soda, and baking powder until dough forms.
Step 3
Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in additional granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
Step 4
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
Step 5
Immediately press 1 chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. The cookie will crack around the edges.
Step 6
Remove from cookie sheets to a cooling rack. Allow them to cool completely.
