Herb Mayo, or Salsa “Tartara”
5 steps
Prep:10min
If glory had a taste, this would be it. This savory, tangy, and creamy mayo will let you experience the delightful texture of herbs with every bite. It's an absolute must-try if you're a dip fan or if you enjoy creamy dressings. It pairs perfectly with empanadas, savory pastries, sandwiches, cheese fingers, nuggets, barbecues, and salads. This recipe is a variation of the classic French Tartar Sauce and holds a special place in Venezuelan cuisine, where it's cherished as an essential addition to empanadas, arepas, and pastries. Loved by all, it's a flavor that simply cannot be missed. A note of importance: First, craft the basic mayo before preparing this variation. While using store-bought mayo works, the homemade version truly shines.

Instructions
Step 1
This recipe can be done with store-bought mayo, but as I said, it tastes better with homemade mayo. To prepare the mayo from scratch, go to our other video where we show you how to make mayo depending on the blender you use.
Step 2
Once the mayo is done set aside.
Step 3
Put all the other ingredients in the blender except for the water. Start the blender and pour the water slowly until the mixture moves in the blender effortlessly. After 30 seconds, turn it off.
Step 4
Using a colander, strain the mixture to remove the water. This green liquid can be used in broths for other dishes or sauces, but we are not going to use it in this recipe.
Step 5
Once you've strained as much water as possible from the mixture, you are ready to combine it with the homemade mayo. Mix it well and adjust the salt and pepper as needed.
