Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2
Brown ground beef in a frying pan. Drain grease.


Step 3
In a tall casserole dish, place layers of ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, and tater tots, in that order. Make the layers thin enough that you can make at least two sequences of that order (six total layers).




Step 4
Place the casserole dish in the oven and bake at 400 degrees until the tater tots on top are golden brown, about 45 minutes.


Step 5
Remove the casserole dish from the oven and let cool for at least 5 minutes before serving. Add a vegetable on the side to complete the dish. Canned green beans are our most common side with this dish.
