✨No Knead Overnight Peasant Loaf✨
✨No Knead Overnight Peasant Loaf✨
3 cups all-purpose flour
1.5 tsp. salt
½ tsp. active dry yeast
1 ½ cups warm water (110°F)
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add in warm water. Mix with a spatula or wooden spoon until it forms a shaggy dough. Cover with Saran Wrap and leave in a draft free place to rise for 12-16 hours or overnight. I like keeping my bowl in the unheated off toaster oven or regular oven. After the time has passed, preheat oven to 450°F with your cast iron pot or Dutch oven inside preheating as well.
On a piece of parchment paper, lightly dust with flour. Pour out your dough, and roughly shape into a round-ish shape. The bread is meant to look rustic!
After the oven is preheated, remove the Dutch oven, carefully lay your dough all and parchment paper into the pot. Be careful as the pot is really hot! Place lid back on and place the dutch oven into your oven. Bake for 30 minutes, remove lid from pot and bake for another 15 minutes until the crust of your bread is golden brown.
And that’s it!! You got a simple but homey and comforting loaf of bread! Enjoy!
