Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

2. Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. In another bowl, beat together butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time, and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture until just combined. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and arrange banana slices on top.

3. Bake until a toothpick inserted into center of loaf comes out clean, 60 to 65 minutes. Cool 10 minutes; turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
