Instructions

Step 1
Dry chicken with paper towel
Step 2
Whisk together flour, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add chicken and toss until fully coated.
Step 3
Lay coated chicken wings on a wire rack and place them in the fridge uncovered for 6 hours to finish drying out. Can skip or shorten the drying time but they may not get as crispy.
Step 4
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place chicken wings on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 25 mins, then flip and continue baking for another 10 minutes.
Step 5
While the chicken is baking make the sauce. Combine honey, soy sauce, 1/3 cup water, minced garlic, and ginger paste in a small saucepan. In a separate bowl combine cornstarch with remaining water. Once the sauce is boiling add the slurry and reduce heat to low. Simmer until thick.
Step 6
After baking for 35 minutes remove chicken from oven and transfer to bowl. Pour in the honey garlic sauce and toss until coated. Return wings to tray and pour remaining sauce over top. Continue baking for 10 minutes.
Step 7
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired
