Instructions
Step 1
Bring a large pot of salted water (or chicken broth) to a boil. Boiling the pasta in chicken broth will make the pasta chips more flavorful. Cook the pasta for 12 minutes, past al-dente. You want the pasta to be a bit overcooked but not mushy.

Step 2
Drain the pasta. You need the pasta to be as dry as possible.
Step 3
In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked pasta with chili oil, olive oil, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and salt. Ensure that the pasta is evenly coated with the seasoning and oil mixture. When spooning out the chili oil, try to separate most of the oil from the chili flakes and bits. The bits in chili oil are prone to burning when air fried/baked.

Step 4
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 3-5 minutes.
Step 5
Place the seasoned pasta in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer to avoid overcrowding.
Step 6
Cook the pasta chips in the preheated air fryer for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Keep an eye on them towards the end to prevent burning. If you're making them in the oven, bake them at 375F for 15-20 minutes (flipping them halfway through).
Step 7
Once the pasta chips are crispy and golden brown, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Transfer them to a serving plate and serve them as a snack or appetizer. Finish them off with some more grated parmesan cheese if you please.
Step 8
Enjoy your homemade chili crunch pasta chips straight from the air fryer! They make a delicious and crispy treat with a spicy kick.
