Ingredients
4 servings
1 poundflank steak
sliced into 1/4” slices
½ cupavocado oil
1red bell pepper
cut into 1/2“ pieces
1yellow onion
cut into 1/2” pieces
4 tspminced garlic
4 Tbspotato starch
cornstarch will work too
green onions
rice
2eggs
2 tsppotato starch
¼ tspsalt
1 Tbswater
cold
¼ cupcoconut aminos
¼ cupwater
2 Tbshoney
3 Tbsketchup
2 Tbssweet chili sauce
2 Tbsrice wine vinegar
2 tsppotato starch
or cornstarch
red pepper flakes
Instructions
Step 1
Step 1 In a large bowl mix together ingredients for the beef marinade. Add steak and stir well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Step 2 Meanwhile mix together ingredients for the sauce and set aside.
Step 3
Step 3 After 30 minutes, coat steak pieces in potato starch until evenly coated.
Step 4
Step 4 Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and pan fry beef pieces for about 2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Step 5
Step 5 Remove and set aside on paper towel lined plate.
Step 6
Step 6 Reduce pan to medium heat and add garlic, onions and peppers. Sauté for 3-4 minutes, then add in the sauce.
Step 7
Step 7 Bring to a simmer and cook for a few minutes or until sauce thickens.
Step 8
Step 8 Add beef pieces to the pan and mix well. Serve over rice and top with green onions!
