Instructions

Step 1
Place a piece of parchment paper down in an 8x8 baking tin, and spread 1/2 cup of nutella to make an even square.
Step 2
Place the baking tin in the freezer to let the nutella freeze for at least an hour.
Step 3
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar.
Step 4
Mix in the eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.
Step 5
Gently fold in the flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking soda until just combined.
Step 6
Mix in the chocolate chips.
Step 7
Place dough into the fridge to chill, and preheat oven to 350.
Step 8
Once the oven has preheated, take the dough out of the fridge and scoop half into a lined 8x8 baking tin.
Step 9
Smooth out the dough and then take the square of frozen nutella and place it on top.
Step 10
Scoop the rest of the cookie dough on top of the nutella square, making sure that it is fully covered and sealed on the sides.
Step 11
Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

Let cool for an hour, slice, and enjoy!
