Instructions

Step 1
Soak beans for 24h, changing the water every 8h (alternatively, soak it in hot water for a few hours, changing water every hour)
Step 2
Dice kielbasa in small pieces
Step 3
In the instant pot, press sautee button and heat olive oil. Add onion and kielbasa until lightly browned
Step 4
Press stop button, then add garlic, stirring for about 1 minute
Step 5
Add drained beans, water, seasonings and bay leaves
Step 6
Place the lid, turn the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 15-20 minutes (bean button). The longer you soak the beans, the quicker it will cook.
Step 7
After cooking, turn the valve for a quick release. After pressure is released, open the lid and taste for additional salt (usually 1/2 tsp)
Step 8
Press sautee button and let the soup come to a boil for 5 min, to thicken the soup. Stir frequently to avoid burning at the bottom
Step 9
Turn off the pot and voila
