Instructions
Step 1
Begin by boiling the beans in enough water to cover them (do not add salt). Keep an eye on the water level and add more water if needed.

In the same pot over medium heat, add olive oil, epis, and green onion. Sauté until fragrant.

Add the cooked beans to the pot, mix well, and season with @verynoiceeseasoning.

After a few minutes, add the rice and sauté briefly before adding the “liquid gold” ( the water you boiled the red beans)

Stir in 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, season with salt to taste, and add @verynoiceeseasoning.

Tie up the parsley, thyme, and scotch pepper and cloves ( pierce the cloves in the pepper) in a bundle and add them to the pot.

Increase the heat to medium-high, continue to mix the rice slowly.

8. Once most of the water has evaporated, reduce the heat to low. Shape the rice into a mountain-like shape in the pot, cover with foil, and let it finish cooking on low heat for about 20-25 minutes.

9. Fluff the rice once it’s done and enjoy your flavorful dish!
