Instructions
Step 1
Begin by boiling the beans in enough water to cover them (do not add salt). Keep an eye on the water level and add more water if needed.
Step 2
In the same pot over medium heat, add olive oil, epis, and green onion. Sauté until fragrant.
Step 3
Add the cooked beans to the pot, mix well, and season with @verynoiceeseasoning.
Step 4
After a few minutes, add the rice and sauté briefly before adding the “liquid gold” ( the water you boiled the red beans)
Step 5
Stir in 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, season with salt to taste, and add @verynoiceeseasoning.
Step 6
Tie up the parsley, thyme, and scotch pepper and cloves ( pierce the cloves in the pepper) in a bundle and add them to the pot.
Step 7
Increase the heat to medium-high, continue to mix the rice slowly.
Step 8
8. Once most of the water has evaporated, reduce the heat to low. Shape the rice into a mountain-like shape in the pot, cover with foil, and let it finish cooking on low heat for about 20-25 minutes.
Step 9
9. Fluff the rice once it’s done and enjoy your flavorful dish!
