Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 F and grease an 8 inch square baking pan.

Step 2
In a bowl, use a spatula or wooden spoon to first mix brownie mix and hot butter together, and then eggs once the mixture is cooled. Then incorporate the nutmeg, rum, and chocolate chips.

Step 3
Spread batter into pan and lift the pan from the counter and let it drop straight down repeatedly to get out and air bubbles. Do this until you don't notice any more bubbles appearing.
Step 4
Bake for 40-44 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out clean. Transfer to a wire rack and cool for 15 minutes.

Chocolate Rum Glaze

Set a small saucepan over medium low heat and combine brown sugar, butter, rum, and milk. Cook stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil. Boil, stirring constantly 1 minute longer.

Step 6
Remove pan from heat and stir in chocolate chips until completely melted and mixture is smooth, cool for 5 minutes.

Step 7
Spread glaze over brownies and cool completely. Cut and serve.
