Ingredients
5 servings
¼ cupolive oil
2shallots
small, sliced
16 ozbaby Bella mushrooms
sliced
2 tablespoonsunsalted butter
4cloves garlic
minced
1 tablespoonchicken bouillon
½ teaspoonsalt
1 teaspoonblack pepper
½ teaspoonchili flakes
2 cupsorzo
4 cupschicken broth
1 cupheavy cream
1 cupgrated parmesan cheese
1 cuppeas
grated parmesan
for topping
Instructions
Step 1
1. Put a pan on medium high heat. Add oil and shallots, saute for a couple of minutes.
Step 2
2. Add in the mushrooms, cook the mushrooms until tender and golden it should take 8-10 minutes.
Step 3
3. Next add in the butter and garlic until fragrant for about 2 minutes.
Step 4
4. Add in the seasonings, orzo and mix well. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream stir and cover the pot.
Step 5
5. Cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes, then reduce the heat to really low and simmer until the orzo is cooked al dente. It should take another 5-6 minutes.
Step 6
6. Once cooked, remove pan from the heat and stir in parmesan cheese, frozen peas.
Step 7
7. Great more Parmesan cheese on top when serving and enjoy!
