This is the way I got my son eating asparagus. You can adjust the seasoning for your preferred salt level and make sure you use unsalted butter. Sometimes I will switch it up and use avocado or olive oil in place of the butter.

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425°F. Cover a rimmed baking sheet pan with aluminum foil.
Step 2
Wash your asparagus and cut off the white bottom pieces (about an inch or so). Dry them as well as you can. Sometimes I'll do this the night before.
Step 3
Spread the asparagus out evenly in a row across the baking sheet leaving as much room as possible between each stalk. Drizzle lightly with the oil of your choice and roll them around in it to get them coated.
Step 4
When the stalks are coated, sprinkle them with the Montreal seasoning. We use about 2 teaspoons for the whole bunch, but adjust to your salt level preference.
Step 5
Place 1 Tablespoon of butter on top of the seasoned asparagus as even intervals.
Step 6
Bake the asparagus for about 10 minutes, depending on the thickness. I usually roll mine around a bit after 5 minutes to make sure it's not getting flimsy and adjust the cooking time from there. Remove from oven and serve hot. You can roll it in the buttery sauce for some extra flavor.
Step 7
You can also roast this with other items you are cooking on a baking sheet/sheet pan. Follow the recipe as written and add about a half bunch to one side of the sheet pan next to the other food for the last 10 minutes of cooking.
