Preheat oven to 350

Ina a small pot heat heavy cream (don’t let it boil)

Add saffron until the mixture turns yellow
Step 4
Add seasonings and sugar and incorporate the butter and salt
Step 5
Remove from heat
Step 6
In a separate bowl beat the egg and then pour the heated cream mixture in little by little at a time to temper the eggs stirring continuously and then add the chopped dates
Step 7
One combined pour into a ramekin and bake for 10 minutes until top is browned
