Ingredients
6 servings
ยฝ cextra-virgin olive oil
1Spanish onion
very large, or yellow, diced
30 clovesgarlic
6 minced, 24 sliced into slivers
1 x 28 ozcan crushed tomatos
1 x 28 ozcan whole peeled tomatos
2 cvegetable broth
or garlic
ยฝ cdry red wine
like a pilot noir
1 Tbsitalian seasoning
1 Tbsoregano
1 Tbsparsley
1 ยฝ tspgranulated sugar
1 Tbsseasoned salt
2 tspblack pepper
1 bunchfresh basil leaves
rinsed
1 x 6 ozcan tomato paste
Instructions
Step 1
Place olive oil in the instant pot and then hit Saute and adjust so it's on the More setting. Heat oil about 3 min

Add onion and Saute until slightly translucent, about 3 min
Step 3
Add garlic and saute for 5 min, until lightly browned
Step 4
Pour in crushed and peeled tomatoes, broth, wine, and seasonings, stir to combine
Step 5
Add basil leaves, DO NOT STIR them in
Step 6
Secure lid, manual on high for 10 min
Step 7
Quick release when done
Step 8
Remove lid, use potato masher to lightly crush the plum tomatoes to the desired chunkines.
