For the Cheesecake Layer:
- 450 g cream cheese, unsalted
- 150 g sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 eggs (medium)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
For the Churro Layer:
- 2 rolls of puff pastry (from the refrigerated section)
- 50 g sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
🤍 Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a rectangular baking pan (27 x 17 cm).
2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix well.
3. Roll out one sheet of puff pastry and place it in the prepared baking pan. Trim any excess edges.
4. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the bottom puff pastry layer. Roll out the second sheet of puff pastry and place it on top of the cheesecake mixture. Trim the edges as needed.
5. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top puff pastry layer.
6. Bake the bars in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, until the top layer is golden brown and the puff pastry is puffed up.
7. Let the bars cool completely in the baking pan before cutting them into squares.
