I look forward to these Healthy Pumpkin Bars every fall! Filled with heart-healthy fats from almond butter and almond flour, and naturally sweetened with maple syrup, they’re a feel-good sweet treat both kids and adults love. Stud them with chocolate chips or pecans (or both!) and enjoy for snacks for dessert.
Here’s what you need:
▢ 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
▢ 1/2 cup maple syrup
▢ 1/2 cup natural creamy almond butter
▢ 2 large eggs
▢ 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
▢ 1/2 cup almond flour
▢ 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
▢ 1/4 tsp. baking powder
▢ 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
▢ 1/2 cup chocolate chips
