Chocolate Chip Cookies

Nothing compares to homemade chocolate chip cookies, soft and chewy center with beautiful golden brown edges and is packed with chocolate chips. To top it all off, A sprinkle of flaky salt on each cookie right after baking. It adds the perfect touch of flavor that balances the sweetness beautifully.

Instructions

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350Β° F. Melt 2 sticks of butter in the microwave.
Step 2
2. In a large bowl whisk together melted butter, brown sugar and regular sugar. Add the eggs, vanilla extract and whisk until well combined and no streaks of egg white remain.
Step 3
3. Add the flour, baking soda, salt and mix with a spatula. When all combined, add 2 cups chocolate chips (save the other 1/4 cup for topping each cookie) and mix until a soft cookie dough forms and no dry flour remains.
Step 4
4. Use a cookie scoop and scoop out even portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets. I usually only add 4 cookies to each baking sheet.
Step 5
5. Top each cookie with a few more of your reserved chocolate chips.
Step 6
6. Bake one sheet at a time on the middle rack for 10 minutes, or until the edges are set and golden and the tops are puffy. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with the flaky salt, if desired.
Step 7
7. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling and enjoy!
